This piece has grown out of a close working relationship with the talented young
Ukranian pianist, Slava Sidorenko, to whom the work is dedicated.

like a leaf to the river   (2010) for solo piano,

This short piano piece was composed to celebrate the work of Geoff Poole on
his retirement, and forms part of the collection Joyous Lake.

empty chambers II  (2008) for clarinet quartet
  first performed: Fell Clarinet Quartet, Peel Hall, Salford

The piece, in two movements, draws its inspiration from a number of exhibitions
and installations by artists Tacita Dean, James Turrell and Volker Straebel, which
quietly but incessantly force the audiences’ focus onto small, ever-changing detail.
